Notice to GeoTIFF: The GeoTIFF driver reads both GeoTIFF and regular TIFF files. The GeoTIFF implementation doesn't support ground control points (GCP). GCP is a custom grid.

GeoTIFF is a TIFF-based raster format. Uses the TIFF 6.0 specification, which adds several types of geotags. The new geotags contain georeferencing information.
